M·A·C x Pedro Lourenço Collection

M·A·C has been on a roll lately. At least over here. This June means the release of three collections. Three collections in one month! Phew! How is one to keep up? I’ll have to admit, I kind of wish there was more time between each collection just because it’s nice to be excited and anticipate the next one for a while, and so that it’s not too overwhelming to have one collection right after another, you know? Besides, don’t we need time to save up money in between? I know I do! Haha.

The most recent collection, launched on June 1, was a collaboration with Brazilian fashion designer Pedro Lourenço and features 'daring, saturated hues are juxtaposed against soft, frosted nudes, all encased in limited-edition, black packaging with a chic, velvet finish.' And according to James Gager, creative director of M·A·C Cosmetics, "Pedro organically understands and relates to the MAC Cosmetics DNA and beautifully interprets the Brazilian woman’s polished yet effortless style through this collaboration."

As someone who loves nude shades to the point of obsession, I was already intrigued at the first description alone. Then I saw a a teaser of the collection (I blame Instagram a lot for fueling my makeup lust) and I already knew my greedy little hands needed a thing or two from it. Eyeshadow quad | 5.6 g / 0.19 US oz| PHP2,530.00

Four Eye Shadows with a subtle metallic finish in frosted champagne, pale fleshy peach, cool bronze and soft golden-beige. The highly pigmented powder formula applies evenly, blends and builds beautifully.

Shades: Pink Sands (light fleshy peach – matte), All That Glitters (frosted champagne with gold pearl – veluxe pearl), Rose Cloud (soft golden beige – matte), and Sable (cool bronze – frost).

The M·A·C x Pedro Lourenco Collection is now available at all local M·A·C branches.

I already got my hands on a couple of things from this collection and I can’t wait to do a review on them. I’m planning to maybe get something else, like the Roxo lipstick, but we’ll see!
