Maybelline Super BB Cushion

Cushion makeup is just one of those things that's evolving from a trend into a staple. While cushion foundations and BB creams and the like are a must-have in many girls' vanity kits, innovative products like cushion eyeliner and blush are gradually picking up popularity too. There's now a cushion for everything it seems!

Of course Maybelline themselves wanted to hop on the trending train and came up with the Super BB Cushion (Php749.00). I've been a fan of Maybelline's BB creams for years now, so for them to create one with the application ease and convenience of a cushion got me hyped.

Review: Baby Skin Pore Eraser (Maybelline)

Concealing my large pores is a mandatory step in my daily makeup routine. Though they're not as ghastly as say, a brand new zit, I still consider them unsightly (on me at least) and always try to minimize their appearance with both a great primer and BB cream or foundation.

Thankfully, Maybelline has recently released the Baby Skin Pore Eraser.

Though the product's name is already self-explanatory, what does Maybelline say it does?

On contact, translucent gelt melts on skin and instantly erases pores, imperfections, lines and creases. Skin looks instantly transformed into a perfect smooth canvas.

As someone who wasn't too impressed with Benefit's The POREfessional and didn't understand why everyone raved about it so much, I was more than keen to try this out. It seemed like the perfect dupe and I was right!

What's in my makeup bag?

First and foremost, it's been just over two weeks since my last post and I want to offer apologies again to my subscribers/readers for that. My mom passed away on the 14th from complications due to her (breast) cancer, of which she was a survivor for six years. Since then, I've sort of lacked motivation to write any new entries and in fact, I've got a small backlog to get up and out of the way and I'll start emptying said backlog with a sort of 'quickie entry' that I hope you'll still like!

Review: Clear Smooth BB Stick (Maybelline)

Time to review a new product! And I do mean new since it only hit shelves a few weeks ago or so. It's Maybelline's Clear Smooth BB stick.

I was immediately attracted to this product because a) I'm into anything BB related, whether it's creams, powders, or sticks and b) it's from Maybelline, such a famous and well-trusted brand that produces some of my most favorite beauty products.

As you can see, the packaging itself is simple, but cute and compact! Something you can easily slip into your beauty kit if need be.

The product comes in two shades: 01 Fair and 02 Natural. I got 01 Fair and it matches my skin tone extremely well, whereas 02 Natural is two to three shades too dark for me.
